Ahmedabad, March 1: What is happiness? Despite knowing that we want to have love, peace and satisfaction in life, why don’t we get it? What stops us to be happy? Such questions are answered by spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in his lecture series and training workshops. His trained leaders under the umbrella of ‘Art of Living’ try to reach out to people and lend a helping hand making their lives worthy, meaningful and happy.
When the nation and the world was under the clutch of Covid-19, people of our country were also affected, some too much while others little less. But, this monster called Covid-19 pandemic left deep scar on the body, attitudes, moods, thinking and psychology. This scare if not removed becomes fatal and is not good for mankind to lead a normal happy life in the post-covid time.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in his attempt to see the world happy once again decided to take up a pan India tour and address human anxiety and stress busting task. Therefore a series of workshops were organised by his Centres of Art of Living through co-ordinators and leaders in various cities and places of Gujarat. The workshops as they say is the best investment of your life in just 20 hours of your time spread among three days.
The Art of Living is a non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization founded in 1981 by the world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He has brought yoga, meditation, and practical wisdom to millions of people in 180 countries.
Happiness Mahotsav , Ahmedabad
The Happiness Festival or Mahotsav has been organised in Ahmedabad 3rd to 5th & 15th March.
Providing details about the Happiness Mahotsav, Uday Krishna the senior co-ordinator of AoL said “Physical, mental and emotional health is important in everybody’s well- being. Due to Covid-19 pandemic importance of mental health increased many fold. The art of living happiness program helps to overcome stress and live happily. Since last four months various programs were being conducted by the Art of Living volunteers that include dhyan/yoga in society, community hall and gardens in various parts of Ahmedabad.
‘Happiness Program’ primarily focussed on ‘Sudarshan Kriya’ workshops. All such volunteers which are said to be over thousands are going to be blessed by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at a grand function to be held at Karnavati club of Ahmedabad on 15th of March evening “.
“Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is scheduled to visit Gujarat from March 11 to 18. Several functions have been slated accordingly in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vapi, Rajkot, and Anand. Earlier he has been touring different cities of Maharashtra. After Gujarat, he is heading for Madhya Pradesh” informed Pragneshbhai who is one of the senior leaders of AoL in Gujarat.
Others who remained at the press briefing on Wednesday included, Chetan Bundella, the apex member of AoL, Hima Parikh, Director of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidhya Mandir School and Shailja Shukla a senior faculty.
Online registration for the workshop has also been arranged. Youth are going to be the primary concern of Sri Raviji, hence several private colleges and universities’ students and others are expected to participate and become stress free and lead a much better life with a fresh outlook towards life which is beautiful.
