Sudhir Kumar Sharma is the new Divisional Railway Manager of Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, July 23: Sudhir Kumar Sharma has assumed charge as Divisional Railway Manager, Ahmedabad. He belongs to 1993 batch of Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS). Sudhir Kumar Sharma will be succeeding the outgoing Divisional Railway Manager Tarun Jain. 

Prior to the new assignment, Sharma has served in various capacities as GGM (Strategic Planning) at the National Capital Region Transport Corporation, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NETRA, Director Railway Store (M) at the Railway Board and Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer in Western Railway. His first appointment was as a probationary officer in the Indian Railway Stores Service at Railway Staff College, Vadodara.

 Sharma has achieved significant accomplishments while working at various important positions in Western Railway, Central Railway, and Railway Board. Through his work as Chief Materials Manager and Director (Railway Stores) at Railway Board in Western Railway. He played a crucial role in implementing innovative, practical, and quality-oriented initiatives with positive ideas. Sharma holds educational qualifications in civil engineering from IIT Roorkee, an M. Tech from IIT Delhi and MBA from IIM Bangalore.

The new DRM of Ahmedabad has also participated in various training programs in France, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States. After assuming the responsibilities as the Divisional Railway Manager, he emphasized his priorities, which include ensuring safety in train operations, implementing various infrastructure development projects, electrification, track modernization, and special efforts to increase freight loading in the division. These areas will remain the topmost priorities for him.
