Art Exhibition in Ahmedabad Raises Funds for Spine Foundation’s Patient Welfare

Ahmedabad, Feb 26: The Spine Foundation, led by Dr. Shekhar Bhojraj, organized a charitable Art Exhibition on February 24 and 25, 2024, in Ahmedabad. The event, a first in the city, aimed to support economically disadvantaged patients, showcasing artworks by leading spine surgeons like Dr. Tarak Patel, Dr. Tejashwi Aggarwal, Dr. Bharat Sarkar, and others, including Priyank Patel.
The exhibition displayed around 100 photographs and paintings, attracting widespread participation. Proceeds from the event, estimated to be around Rs. 50 lakhs, will be channeled through the Asha Foundation to assist those in need.
This marks the 6th Art Exhibition organized by the Spine Foundation in India, raising a commendable fund of 1.5 crores since its inception. Donors contributing Rs. 5000 were gifted Dr. Shekhar Bhojraj’s art book, while those donating Rs. 25,000 had the opportunity to select an artwork from the exhibition.
All donations were allocated directly to patient welfare initiatives. Furthermore, donors could avail 50% tax exemption under Section 80G of the IT Act, 1961, for their contributions.
The Spine Foundation, known for its 13 Regional Spine Care Centers (RSCCs) across India, has treated over 60,000 patients and conducted more than 1800 surgeries, extending its reach to areas like Gadchiroli, Kolhapur, and Goa.
